A mile led route that takes place every Wednesday from May 7th to October 29th at 9 a.m. rotating between six Independence parks and trails. It is open to the public and free. Bingo Night a Big Hit

Amy ChiefsWho doesn't love to win prizes and meet and greet with the Kansas City Chiefs players? We would like to thank the Company of Champions for putting on such a great bingo night. The Company of Champions is an association created for companionship, support, and connections, between children, adults, and families, living with a disability. The bingo nights are held at Bass Pro in Independence in the lower level Conservation Community Room. Everyone attending had a great night playing bingo, winning prizes and enjoying refreshments.

Good News and More Good News

ExcitedSpecial Neighbors is so blessed to be the recipient of several grants this quarter and we thought you might want to hear about some of the exciting things happening as a result of the community contributions. The men at Manor House are looking forward to getting some new furniture, thanks to a $1,000 grant from the Independence Young Matrons. In addition, guests at our spring fundraiser gave an extra $1,133 to be used to purchase a new lift chair at Nolen Manor and Manor House. We have already purchased the lift chair at Nolen Manor and can't wait to get the new furniture and lift chair at Manor House. Soon they will be relaxing in style.
